Vice delivered but unfortunately damaged. Forestwest quickly remedied the problem. Vice works as it should do all good.

I had purchased a cross slide vice on Amazon to do some simple fabricating with and immediately sent it back because it was simply un-functional. Castings were misaligned and backlash and slop horrible. Reading reviews of similar products from other retailers indicated most of those vises have the same issues. This is NOT one of those products. This vise came out of the packaging working smoothly, well machined, excellent precision, and not really much more expensive than the poorly made ones. I don’t normally review things, but the contrast I experienced inspired me to do so.
